## When to use

You are pricing a UK Vinted listing and need the buyer-side protection fee plus your profit after costs.

## When not to

Live checkout quotes, Vinted Pro business terms, or non-UK Vinted domains with a different price list.

## Inputs

- **listedPrice:** Price shown on the listing in GBP.
- **shippingCharged:** Optional postage the buyer pays on top (not deducted from the seller).
- **itemCost, packagingCost, bumpFee:** Optional seller costs. Bump is a paid visibility extra.
- **buyerProtectionPercent, buyerProtectionFixed:** Default 5% + £0.70. Official band is usually 3–8% + £0.30–£0.80.

## Outputs

- **sellerPayout:** Equals listedPrice. Vinted does not take a seller commission on a standard sale.
- **buyerProtectionFee:** listedPrice * percent/100 + fixed, rounded to 2 dp.
- **buyerProtectionLow / High:** Band using 3%+£0.30 and 8%+£0.80.
- **buyerPays:** listedPrice + shippingCharged + buyerProtectionFee.
- **netProfit:** sellerPayout − itemCost − packagingCost − bumpFee.

## Steps

1. Reject negative inputs. Default buyer protection to 5% + £0.70 if omitted.
2. sellerPayout = round2(listedPrice). Standard UK sales do not deduct a seller commission.
3. buyerProtectionFee = round2(listedPrice * percent/100 + fixed).
4. Also compute the published band: low = 3% + £0.30, high = 8% + £0.80, same rounding.
5. buyerPays = listedPrice + shippingCharged + buyerProtectionFee.
6. netProfit = sellerPayout − itemCost − packagingCost − bumpFee. Margin is netProfit / listedPrice * 100 when listedPrice > 0.
7. Label the result as an estimate. Checkout shows the exact Buyer Protection fee; this page cannot quote Vinted live.

## FAQs

### Does Vinted charge UK sellers a commission?

On a standard UK sale, no. Vinted’s public price list charges Buyer Protection to the buyer, not a percentage to the seller. You receive the listed price. Paid extras such as Item Bump are optional and come off profit if you buy them.

### What is the Vinted Buyer Protection fee?

It is added at checkout for Buy now purchases and is paid by the buyer. Vinted’s UK price list (updated 8 September 2025) says it typically includes a percentage of the item or bundle plus a fixed amount — usually 3% to 8% + £0.30 to £0.80, VAT included. The exact figure depends on the item, order value, and whether it is a bundle.

### Why does this calculator show a range?

Vinted does not publish a single public formula. The mid estimate (5% + £0.70) is a working default used by many UK sellers; the low and high figures apply the published 3%+£0.30 and 8%+£0.80 band to your listed price. Treat checkout as authoritative.

### Is my pricing uploaded?

No. The arithmetic runs in this tab. There is no account and no request that includes your figures.

### How do I estimate Vinted fees without this page?

### Does this include Vinted postage prices?
