Vinted fee calculator

UK Vinted does not take a seller commission on a standard sale: you keep the listed price. Buyers pay a Buyer Protection fee on top, usually 3–8% plus £0.30–£0.80. This page estimates that band, your profit after costs, and what the buyer pays. Checkout still shows the exact fee. Estimate only.

£18 jumper, £2.99 postage to the buyer

Seller payout is £18. With the mid estimate (5% + £0.70) the buyer protection fee is £1.60, so the buyer pays about £22.59 including postage. After £4 sourcing and £0.40 packaging, profit is £13.60.

Vinted fee calculator how-to

  1. Enter the price you will type on the UK listing.
  2. Add postage the buyer pays if you want their checkout total, not just your payout.
  3. Add sourcing, packaging, and any Item Bump you already bought.
  4. Leave the protection defaults (5% + £0.70) unless you are testing the published 3–8% band.

Why Vinted fee calculator matters

On a standard UK Vinted sale the seller does not pay a commission. That is the whole commercial difference versus Etsy. Your listed price is the payout; profit is that number minus what the garment and the mailer cost.

Buyers still pay Buyer Protection on top. If your £8 tee becomes £10.50 at checkout, conversion can suffer even though you kept £8. The range on this page is the public band, not Vinted’s private formula.

Postage still matters. A Large Letter mailer versus a Small Parcel is independent of Vinted’s fee model and often the larger cost.

Payout and buyer fee

sellerPayout = listedPrice. buyerProtectionFee = listedPrice × percent/100 + fixed (default 5% + £0.70). Low/high band uses 3%+£0.30 and 8%+£0.80. buyerPays = listedPrice + shippingCharged + buyerProtectionFee. netProfit = listedPrice − itemCost − packaging − bump.

Vinted fee calculator limitations

Vinted’s UK price list (8 September 2025) describes a typical band, not a closed formula. Bundles, Pro accounts, and other countries differ. Checkout is authoritative.

Vinted fee calculator FAQ

Does Vinted charge UK sellers a commission?
On a standard UK sale, no. Vinted’s public price list charges Buyer Protection to the buyer, not a percentage to the seller. You receive the listed price. Paid extras such as Item Bump are optional and come off profit if you buy them.
What is the Vinted Buyer Protection fee?
It is added at checkout for Buy now purchases and is paid by the buyer. Vinted’s UK price list (updated 8 September 2025) says it typically includes a percentage of the item or bundle plus a fixed amount — usually 3% to 8% + £0.30 to £0.80, VAT included. The exact figure depends on the item, order value, and whether it is a bundle.
Why does this calculator show a range?
Vinted does not publish a single public formula. The mid estimate (5% + £0.70) is a working default used by many UK sellers; the low and high figures apply the published 3%+£0.30 and 8%+£0.80 band to your listed price. Treat checkout as authoritative.
Is my pricing uploaded?
No. The arithmetic runs in this tab. There is no account and no request that includes your figures.
How do I estimate Vinted fees without this page?
sellerPayout = listedPrice. buyerProtectionFee = round(listedPrice * percent/100 + fixed, 2) with percent/fixed defaulting to 5 and 0.70. Also compute 3%+0.30 and 8%+0.80 for the band. buyerPays = listedPrice + shippingCharged + buyerProtectionFee. netProfit = listedPrice − itemCost − packagingCost − bumpFee. Do not invent a seller commission for a standard UK sale.
Does this include Vinted postage prices?
No. Postage is whatever Vinted Shipping or your own label costs. Enter shipping charged only to show the buyer’s total; it is not deducted from your payout in this model.
